Institute of Bankers appoints new CEO

KUALA LUMPUR: The Institute of Bankers Malaysia (IBBM), has appointed Tay Kay Luan as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1.

Tan is at present, President of the Business Council of Sustainable Development Malaysia for 2010/2012 and honorary auditor for the London School of Economics (LSE) Society of Malaysia.

The IBBM said in a statement today that he is also a co-founder of the Institute of Corporate Responsibility of Malaysia, a member of the Industry Advisory panel for the Universiti Sains Malaysia Graduate Business School and Taylors' University College.

Prior to joining IBBM, Tay held several leadership positions at the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

In announcing the appointment, Tan Sri Azman Hashim, the IBBM Chairman said his understanding of the regional but diverse markets, will be exceptionally invaluable to the organisation. - BERNAMA
