TOKYO: Asian stock markets fell in early trading Wednesday as an unexpected drop in U.S. existing home sales sparked worries over the pace of a recovery in the world's largest economy.
Japan's benchmark Nikkei 225 stock index fell 170.70 points, or 1.7 percent, to 9,942.19 in the morning session.
