Banks more stable under Zeti


KUALA LUMPUR: Today marks the 10th year that Tan Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz has served as governor of Bank Negara and during that time, the banking sector under her stewardship has registered tremendous growth and maturity.

Banks have become more stable and secure following the consolidation of the sector in the aftermath of the Asian financial crisis and banks in Malaysia have launched themselves into the forefront of Islamic finance globally.
