FRANKFURT: European Central Bank (ECB) heavyweight Juergen Stark said he is sceptical about International Monetary Fund (IMF) involvement in an aid package for Greece, stressing the fund would have to play by eurozone rules.
“It is sensible to fall back on the experience of the IMF. But, like before, I am sceptical regarding its possible financial contribution,’ Stark, one of the ECB’s six-strong executive board, told German magazine Capital.
