Pekema seeks review of AP policy

KUALA LUMPUR: The Association of Malay Importers and Traders of Motor Vehicles Malaysia (Pekema), Sabah branch, has called on the Federal Government to review the policy making it compulsory for holders of Approved Permit (AP) to pay a charge of RM10,000 for the issuance of each open AP.

Chairman of Pekema Sabah, Rozman Isli said that although he agreed with the policy which is aimed at collecting funds as a contribution from them to develop Bumiputera entrepreneurs in the country, be it in the automotive or other industry, the charge of RM10,000 per unit was too high.
