KUALA LUMPUR: JAKS Resources Bhd
has signed various memoranda of agreement with relevant authorities and government agencies in Vietnam on the proposed development of a 1,200-MW thermal power project in Hai Doung.
The project would be developed under a build-operate-transfer structure and run as an independent power plant with 25-year power purchase agreement with the national utility company, Vietnam Electricity, Jaks told Bursa Malaysia. Construction of the project was slated to start in the last quarter of this year. — Bernama
