Hume gets takeover offer

KUALA LUMPUR: Hume Industries (M) Bhd told Bursa Malaysia yesterday it has received a notice of voluntary takeover offer from Spectrum Arrangement Sdn Bhd to acquire all the Hume shares it does not own at RM4.30 cash a share.

Spectrum is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Leong Co (M) Bhd, Hong Leong Investment Bank, on behalf of Spectrum, said as at Jan 14, Spectrum directly held 118.79 million Hume shares, representing about 64.94% of the issued and paid-up capital.
