CIMB plans to open Islamic banks in east coast soon


KUALA LUMPUR: CIMB Islamic Bank, which is currently co-existing on a dual banking platform with CIMB Bank with 318 branches nationwide, may soon open its own branches in the east coast states.

CIMB Islamic Bank chief executive officer Badlisyah Abdul Ghani said CIMB was considering opening Islamic branches only in areas where it felt there would be demand.
