GEORGE TOWN: Osram Opto Semiconductors Malaysia’s newly opened wafer fabrication facility is now ready to produce the next generation light-emitting diode (LED) chips for automotive, solid state lighting and LED-backlit panel industries.
The plant also created 220 jobs comprising engineers, technicians and operators, said Osram Malaysia managing director Horst Rosenmueller.
