GEORGE TOWN: Nasdaq-listed Rubicon Technology Inc, a leading global light-emitting diode (LED) substrates and products manufacturer headquartered in Illinois, is setting up a state-of-the-art LED operations in Prai Industrial Estate.
A source close to the LED industry told StarBizWeek that the US-based company was investing around RM20mil for the plant alone, which would have a built-up area of over 60,000 sq ft, for a high-end manufacturing process known as post-crystal growth processing.
