SYDNEY: Chinese energy giant PetroChina Co. on Tuesday signed a deal to buy 50 billion Australian dollars ($41 billion) worth of Australian liquefied natural gas over the next 20 years, Australia's government said.
The gas will come from ExxonMobil's 25 percent share of the Gorgon gas field development off Australia's west coast, Minister for Resources and Energy Martin Ferguson told reporters in Beijing.
