PETALING JAYA: A spike in the sales of plasma televisions “clearly indicates economic revival” in Malaysia, according to the latest data from GfK Asia, a leading provider of Asian retail technology market intelligence.
The report said sales of consumer electronics in the country registered a 0.6% increase from June 2008 to June 2009, supported by a 72.3% jump in the sales value of plasma televisions in the same period.
