REVIEW: The closure of overnight US markets the previous Friday for Independence Day celebration left the local investors searching elsewhere for directions at the start of the week, but there was really not much clue to rely on.
European stocks were generally flat in thin volumes despite FTSE 100-share Index rising 2.01 points to 4,236.28 and turning to the regional peers, Asian equities were mostly lower amid lingering worries about the prospects of a rapid global economic recovery.
