KUALA LUMPUR: The Government has announced a series of measures, including slashing bumiputra equity requirements for new initial public offerings and fund management firms, to boost international investment in the country.
The role of the Foreign Investment Committee (FIC), a panel set up to oversee such investments, has also been trimmed, in line with the Government’s focus on a more conducive regulatory environment.
