PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s export figures may have seen another large decline in April compared with a year earlier due to the high base effect, but on a month-on-month basis, exports may have seen a slight gain as the pace of declines decelerates, economists said.
Malaysia’s exports declined 15.6% in March compared with a year earlier while imports decreased 28.7% and external trade posted a surplus of RM12.5bil.
