Lynas to resume RM1.2bil lanthanides plant project


KUALA LUMPUR: Lynas Malaysia Sdn Bhd is expected to resume its RM1.2bil lanthanides processing plant in Gebeng, Pahang as soon as new investments from a Chinese company are approved by Lynas shareholders.

Last week, Lynas Corp Ltd, the parent company of Lynas Malaysia, signed a binding heads of agreement with China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co Ltd (CNMC), whereby CNMC has been proposed as a new majority shareholder in the company.
