KUALA LUMPUR: Asian stocks extended mid-morning losses and remain down at midday, as investors remain cautious until the results of the U.S. Treasury's bank stress tests emerge. However, Malaysian stocks remain higher, with the KLCI surging 10.03 points to 1.02 to 988.67 at the 12.30pm close.
All sectors showed strong gains except for healthcare which is unchanged.
