THE interbank money market in Malaysia remains active and flushed with liquidity underpinned by a low loan-to-deposit ratio coupled with sound capital ratio.
As at end-February, the banking industry registered loan-to-deposit, risk-weighted capital and core capital ratios of 73.6%, 13% and 11.1% respectively, according to Bank Negara data.
