Information on greater access to capital market now online

PETALING JAYA: The Securities Commission said more information on the new measures to provide greater access to the capital market as announced by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak last week is now available online.

It said in a press release Monday the information was available on and would include operational details of the measures.

The market regulator said initiatives in relation to revisions to the terms and conditions of bonds and sukuk as well as the exemption from the mandatory credit rating requirement for convertible and exchangeable bonds and sukuk would take effect on March 16.

“The exemptions on the other initiatives will come into force following the gazette of a Ministerial Order, which will be communicated at a later date,” it added.
