KUALA LUMPUR: The Securities Commission (SC) intends to mitigate the immediate effects of the global downturn with focus on investor protection and confidence, as well as provide a facilitative environment to encourage financing activities.
“We can only make processes facilitative and hopefully that will have a positive impact on fund raising. The actual decision to raise funds would be with the company itself,” chairman Datuk Seri Zarinah Anwar told reporters during the release of its 2008 annual report yesterday.
