LONDON: Euro zone manufacturers had their worst month in at least 12 years in February as a recession showed no signs of easing and they slashed jobs, a private sector business survey showed yesterday.
The tough environment faced by factories in the 16-nation bloc worsened last month, showing that signs of stabilisation at the start of the year were illusory and reinforcing the case for more government and central bank action to rebuild confidence.
