SINGAPORE: Oil prices fell below US$39 a barrel Friday in Asia as investor concerns about weak crude demand lingered after lower-than-expected inventory numbers sparked a big gain overnight.
Light, sweet crude for March delivery fell 63 cents to $38.85 a barrel by midday in Singapore on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
