SYDNEY: Commonwealth Bank of Australia Ltd (CBA) the nation’s biggest home lender, forecast first-half profit would fall 16% as volatile financial markets eroded fund management income, despite expected growth in business and home loans.
CBA said on Monday preliminary interim profit figures indicated a cash net profit of about A$2bil (US$1.56bil), down from the previous year but more than 20% ahead of market consensus.
