PREM Watsa, founder and CEO of Canadian insurance group Fairfax Financial Holdings, was named Investment Guru of the Year by gurufocus.com last week.
He was among a number of fund managers who saw the risk of derivatives, and like John Paulson, the biggest winner among hedge fund managers in these two years, Watsa backed his conviction with bets in credit default swaps (CDS).
