FALLING coal prices could partly mitigate the impact of slowing demand for electricity for Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB), say analysts.
According to a bank-backed brokerage report, the weaker coal price of about US$75 per tonne currently from the peak of US$178 could be a re-rating catalyst for TNB although the potential drop in power demand due to slower economic growth remains a concern.
