PETALING JAYA: Bursa Malaysia has obtained the High Court’s go-ahead to be made a party in the winding-up proceedings against Golden Plus Holdings Bhd (GPlus).
The regulator said in a statement yesterday it could now proceed with the hearing of its application to direct GPlus and its liquidator to appoint BDO Binder as special auditor.
On Aug 26, Bursa had issued a directive that GPlus appoint a special auditor after assessing all the relevant facts and circumstances.
This included GPlus’ failure to comply with Bursa’s directive for information and clarifications and the company’s failure to comply with various provisions of the listing requirements in relation to the submission of various financial statements within the prescribed timeframe.
The special auditor would review the management of GPlus’ financial and business affairs to ascertain if it had complied with the listing rules.
Bursa said the hearing for its court application was fixed for March 20.
The court also fixed the hearing for the provisional liquidator’s application for directions on the same date.
