KUALA LUMPUR: Bonia Corporation Bhd will focus on expanding export markets, especially from Saudi Arabia and Vietnam, coupled with higher contribution from Singapore.
The company said on Monday, that overseas sales rose by about 22%, which was nearly one-third of the group’s total revenue for the financial year ended June 30, 2008.
Bonia said currently, its group retail business was still largely dependent on domestic marker with sales at 68% of total group revenue.
To adapt to slowdown in Malaysia, group was pushing more affordable brands Sembonia and Carlo Rino. The group was also reviewing its expansion strategy due to current slowdown.
