Microsoft's RM300m to boost local software tech sector


PETALING JAYA: Microsoft (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd will invest RM300mil in Malaysia over the next three years in a programme likely to give a boost to the local software technology scene, managing director Yasmin Mahmood said.

The Microsoft BizSpark programme will give early stage technology start-ups access to RM625,000 worth of software, plus support from a network of partners, to help bring about new ideas, new companies and new software innovation. Microsoft Malaysia is targeting 500 companies to join the programme during the three-year period.
