Bank CIMB Niaga and Bank Lippo merger delayed

JAKARTA: PT Bank CIMB Niaga and PT Bank Lippo, two Indonesian banks indirectly controlled by Malaysia’s sovereign wealth fund, said the completion of their merger would be delayed after they failed to secure approvals on time.

Khazanah Nasional Bhd said on June 2 that the merger of the two banks was expected to be “legally complete” by Oct 1.
