TOKYO (AP) - Japanese shares plunged Tuesday after an overnight dive on Wall Street, as renewed concerns about the U.S. financial sector rattled investor sentiment.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index sank 300.40 points, or 2.28 percent, to 12,865.05. The broader Topix index slid 2.23 percent to 1,235.54.
