UNDER Budget 2009, incentives are expected to be given to companies involved in “green theme” operations that champion the environmental and sustainability cause.
Such incentives await companies with investments in alternative energy resources like biomass energy, biodiesel and biogas plants, sale of certified emission reduction (CER) or carbon credit, biotechnology, tissue culture development and jatropha planting.
