Earnings boost for Alam Maritim

KUALA LUMPUR: Alam Maritim Resources Bhd’s net profit for the current financial year ending Dec 31 (FY08) is expected to top RM70mil due to its fleet expansion.

The company was scheduled to take delivery of seven new vessels in the second quarter of 2008, two units in the second quarter of 2009 and four units by the end of 2010, bringing its total number of vessels to 38.
