KUALA LUMPUR: Analysts are maintaining their “Underweight” call on the plantation sector and are keeping their crude palm oil (CPO) price assumptions of RM3,000 per tonne for next year and RM2,800 in 2010.

The analysts were unsure if the Government’s plan to use 500,000 tonnes of CPO to produce biodiesel in the next two to three years would go through. They also raised questions whether the government would use privately-owned biodiesel plants to produce biodiesel for domestic usage.
