KUALA LUMPUR: Better days may be ahead for the global semiconductor industry, underpinned by personal computers (PCs) and mobile phones based on the 5.4% increase in chips sales during the first half of 2008.
The Semiconductor Industry Association, which is based in the United States, said on Tuesday global sales of semiconductors in 1H rose to US$127.5bil over the US$121bil in the previous corresponding period.
