MALAYSIA has much to offer real estate investors from around the globe given the competitive property pricing and good upside value potential vis-à-vis other countries. However, much effort is still needed to elevate the country to the ranks of an international property investment destination.

A joint public-private sector initiative to form Malaysia Property Inc (MPI) to promote the country's real estate internationally will kick off in October. It is hoped the initiative will bring about more dynamic and long-term changes to the property landscape and a higher quality living environment.
