KUALA LUMPUR: Johor Corp (JCorp), which plans to transform into an Islamic corporate waqaf institution, expects to transfer RM50mil worth of shares to its waqaf or endowment fund this year.
The corporate waqaf “was a way to mitigate the extremes from the impact and side effects of global capitalism,” chief executive Tan Sri Muhammad Ali Hashim said after a media briefing yesterday.
