KUALA LUMPUR: Scomi Group Bhd, via oilfield services subsidiary Scomi Oiltools Sdn Bhd, expects to clinch contracts worth up to US$15mil (RM48.6mil) in the first year of launching its drilling fluids business in Britain.

The group believes its position as the largest cuttings containment and disposal provider in the North Sea, combined with its new technology that speeds up the flow of cuttings off the rig, would give it the edge in winning more of Britain's drilling fluids contracts which are worth US$185mil annually.
