TNB calls IPPs for talks Independent power producers asked to come up with list of demands

KUALA LUMPUR: Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) has sent a letter to independent power producers (IPPs), inviting them for a fresh round of talks in the wake of recent developments related to rising costs and the IPPs' unwillingness to pay windfall taxes.

Sources said the letter was sent last month and the IPPs would be given a few weeks to come up with their list of demands. TNB hopes the list will contain new elements and indicate several key points to kick-start the talks.
