KUALA LUMPUR: The upcoming World Economic Forum (WEF) on East Asia will be a timely platform to address the current issues of rising fuel and food prices, as well as concerns over global economy slowdown.
WEF associate director and deputy head of Asia Sushant Palakurthi Rao said: “The mood at last year’s meeting was marked by optimism about economic growth prospects in Asia but recent events show that the region is facing a new economic and political reality today.”
