PETALING JAYA: Major Asian markets tumbled yesterday, recording losses of up to 3.13%, stoked by fears of more writedowns by major banks in Europe and soaring raw materials prices eroding margins of manufacturers.
Analysts said inflation was the main concern as the region struggled with higher food, energy and commodity prices coupled with slower economic growth and political instability.
