PETALING JAYA: Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) aims to sign up 250,000 Streamyx subscribers within the next seven months through the Streamyx Carnival 2008 roadshow that runs until November.
It expects to net a minimum of 30,000 subscribers a month, Telekom Retail vice-president (Selangor) Datuk Zaini Diman said on Saturday.
It now has 1.12 million Streamyx subscribers, up 12% from one million five months ago.
TM vice-president of integrated marketing Zainab Hashim, meanwhile, said the roadshow, which began in March, would cover 30 locations nationwide.
“The roadshow is one of the initiatives to increase the broadband penetration in rural areas,” she said after presenting prizes to the winners of the TM Rewards Loyalty Contest. – Bernama
