PETALING JAYA: Manufacturers of semiconductor equipment in North America posted US$1.07bil in orders and a book-to-bill ratio of 0.81 in April, according to Semiconductor Equipment Manufacturing Industry (SEMI), a global industry association serving the manufacturing supply chains for the microelectronic, display and photovoltaic industries.
The book-to-bill ratio, a benchmark used as a measure of the industrys health, is the lowest recorded since November last year.
