KUALA LUMPUR: Plantations and steel-related counters propped up the market in early trade on Wednesday as investors were encouraged by the firmer close on Wall Street despite another record high US crude oil at US$122 per barrel.
At 10am, the KL Composite Index was up 10.03 points to 1,286.12. Turnover was 135 million shares valued at RM182mil. There were 228 gainers, 106 losers and 165 counters unchanged.
