WHILE food prices are likely to stay at elevated levels in the near term, there is a possibility of some moderation in food inflation as aggregate demand softens, Citigroup Investment Research said in a recent report.
“We are not pessimistic about the global food outlook. Technology should eventually respond to strong demand and high prices, like what the green revolution did half a century ago,” it said.
