KUALA LUMPUR: Padi production in the country is expected to remain at 1.6 million metric tonnes this year, Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Datuk Mustapa Mohamed said.
“We do not foresee any major climatic change in the country. So the current production level is at 1.6 million metric tonnes and that is going to be maintained,” he said after unveiling the new Agrobank logo on Tuesday.
