Blue chips fall in early trade


KUALA LUMPUR: Asian markets including Bursa Malaysia fell in early trade, dragged down by some profit taking on heavyweights as investor sentiment was hit by the worries about the US-led recession.

At 10am, the KLCI had fallen 6.25 points to 1,240.54. Turnover was 62.28 million shares valued at RM83.53mil. There were 43 gainers and 265 losers, while 110 counters were unchanged and 1,010 counters untraded.
