KUALA LUMPUR: Last-minute profit taking on blue chips pushed the KL Composite Index into the negative territory at midday on Friday but gains on heavyweight Sime Darby managed to offset some of the losses.
At 12.30pm, the KLCI was down 3.08 points to 1,245.11; the FBM Emas fell 26.70 points to 8,404.04 and the FBM Second Board lost 20.17 points to 5,754.33.
