KUALA LUMPUR: The Securities Commission (SC) has introduced a set of new guidelines to strengthen investor protection by promoting responsible conduct among stockbrokers and their representatives.
The Guidelines on Market Conduct and Business Practices, which are aligned with international best practices, supported the Capital Market Masterplan's strategic initiative of ensuring Malaysian intermediation services are anchored on appropriate prudential standards, the SC said in a statement yesterday.
