KUALA LUMPUR: The market started the morning session on Friday on a firm note but some selling of banking stocks like BCHB and heavyweights stocks including Telekom and Tenaga dragged down the KLCI.
Late selling pressure on selected banking stocks, which are the proxy to the economy, pared down the earlier gains. The KLCI was just up 0.96 of a point to 1,226.54 at midday, off the early high of 1,230.77. The FBM Emas slipped 0.65 point to 8,284.66 but the FBM Second Board rose 26.63 points to 5,810.01.
