PUBLIC-LISTED companies are anticipated to report improved earnings for the first quarter (Q1) which ends today – the storm raging in the financial and housing sectors of the US is only partially felt up till this moment.
Economists differ as to the extent of that impact. Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) forecast a lower economic growth of between 5% and 6% this year compared with 6.3% last year, when it issued its annual report last week.
